MONO-PATCH® COLD SET

Fast Set High Strength Cold Weather Concrete Repair

DESCRIPTION
MONO-PATCH COLD SET is a single component concrete material for use when the temperature is below 40° F that sets up in approximately 20 minutes and is ready for vehicular traffic in 90 minutes. It bonds strongly to most concrete, tile, masonry and asphalt surfaces. It can be used equally well indoors or outdoors in a variety of applications requiring cold temperature usability and develops high early strength enabling quick turn around in demanding environments.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Repair surfaces must be free of oil, grease, wax, efflorescence, debris and other surface contaminants. Insure a clean and sound surface. Chip down the repair area to a minimum depth of 1/2". For best results, edges may need to be saw cut to create a vertical edge depth of at least 1/2", do not feather edge. Remove all freestanding water prior to placement. MONO-PATCH COLD SET may be placed over dry or damp surfaces.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Mix MONO-PATCH COLD SET with 14% by weight of water thoroughly for 4 minutes using a mortar mixer or an electric drill and paddle. The material will appear dry at first but will "wet out" as it is further mixed. Only mix enough material to be placed within 15 minutes (working time will decrease at higher temperatures). For repairs deeper than 2" add 60% by weight of 3/8" washed pea gravel. Do not use limestone.

APPLICATION
Only use in temperatures below 400 F. Immediately after mixing; place the MONO-PATCH COLD SET slurry into the repair area. Start on one side and work toward the other side. Do not layer the material. Surface will be ready for brooming or texturing in 20 minutes or less.

COLD WEATHER APPLICATION
For cold weather applications the mix water should be pre-heated along with the substrate surface. Cover the repair area after setting to maintain the temperature.

COVERAGE
MONO-PATCH COLD SET is packaged in 50-lb (22.7 Kg) polyethylene lined bags yielding approximately 0.42 ft3 (11.9 Liters) after mixing with water. For deeper repairs using a gravel extender the yield is approximately 0.62 ft3 (17.5 Liters).

CLEAN UP
Clean all tools and equipment with soap and water immediately after use.

SHELF LIFE
One year from date of manufacture in the original unopened container. Unused material should be kept in a closed container and protected from moisture and other contaminants.
